Public Open Day
Celebrate the first full year of growing in America’s only Gemmo Forest. Tour the land, learn about our permaculture practices, and attend our scheduled workshops.
1:30 – 2:00 pm : Agro-Homeopathy: Kristina White is a certified classical homeopath with a special interest in using homeopathy to treat plants, trees, and soil. This area of homeopathy is referred to as Agro-homeopathy. It is an inexpensive, chemical-free, non-toxic method of healing and protecting plants and agricultural resources from pests and disease. With the use of homeopathic remedies, we can reduce the use of pesticides and herbicides by dispensing environmentally friendly solutions to our plants, and other resources, including soils and compost material to improve the overall health of the gardens and farms in our communities.
2:00 – 2:30 pm : How to prep now for a spring permaculture guild: In this talk Lauren Hubele, Gemmo Forest Director, will discuss the components of a permaculture guild, and share how to prepare a garden bed now for a permaculture guild you can plant in the spring.
2:30 – 3:00 pm : What you need to know about Gemmo extracts and your health: Each permaculture guild in the Gemmo Forest serves as a host to specific production plants for creating Gemmo Extracts. Tanya Renner, Natural Health Coach, Hollis, NH, will share a bit about the plants we are currently cultivating and how they might be used to support overall immunity as well as acute cold, flu and virus symptoms

Hunter Full Moon Closing Ceremony and Qigong
At this closing ceremony for the season, we honor October’s Full Supermoon and all we have received these past bountiful months. We will open with a Qigong session in the Tea Garden led by Acupuncturist Pamela Bys. We will then walk the land together, putting each guild to rest for the coming winter, and we will do a ceremonial laying of chop and drop mulch.
